Precisely a week after his meeting with Giovan, Snake left his place as soon as it got dark and went to their meeting point.
It was a bar he quite liked, dark and usually filled with enough people and background noise so that conversations would be hard to overhear. Also, they had good drinks.

So Snake ordered a bottle of good wine and waited at a table, eager to hear what news Giovan got regarding his brother and to share his own story.

A cheerful Giovan walked into the bar, and after making a few inappropriate comments to a passing girl he settled at a table.

"Have a good week?" he asked, with a smile.

Snake laughed as he heard Giovan's comments. It wasn't exactly something he would do himself, but he was in good mood tonight and found it rather amusing.
He greeted the human and gestured towards one of the chairs.

"I would say so. What about you?"

"I had a great week." He smiled, then took a seat in the chair.

"Good! I'd love to hear about it", he said, smiling back. "Want some wine?"

"Yeah, I'll take a glass" Giovan sat back in his seat, fully relaxed. "Had a good time picking on your brother. He's real defensive about his friends."

Snake had assumed he wouldn't have to drink alone tonight, so there were already two glasses on the table. He poured some wine into both of them and placed one in front of Giovan.

"Really. At least the fool is defensive about something. I take it he hadn't such a good time, yes?"

After taking a gulp of wine, Giovan wiped his mouth and told him exactly what had been done to Julian.

Leaning back, Snake listened, content with what he heard. This had gone much better than he had expected.

"Good job!" He nodded appreciatively, musing a bit about it. Finally, he added: "Well, I had just as much fun with your friend. She put up a nice fight."

"Just as much fun as I thought it would be" Giovan replied "Girl's a feisty one, isn't she?"

He made a note to visit her later, and tell her just what Julian had said.

"Oh yes, she is." Snake nodded. "Which added greatly to the fun. She had a nice blade, too."

Feeling rather cheerful, he refilled both glasses. "Good to make deals with you. We should repeat that some time, don't you think?"

"She has a preference for blades." revealed Giovan "When do you want to do t again?"

"I like that. I do appreciate good blades, too. Using them requires some skill."

He sipped on his wine, pondering the question. "Whenever you'd like, really. Just don't kill him, that'd be ... unfortunate."

"She's got a lot of training on them" Giovan gulped down half his glass before speaking again "I ain't going to kill him. You can do whatever you want to Janie."

"Yeah? Nice. Right now, she's too much fun to kill her. But I'll have to visit again. See if she's missed me."

He grinned, anticipating another rewarding fight.

"Yeah, but she's real hard to kill, so it don't matter what you do." He seemed a little frustrated by that, but still looked forward to beating Julian up again.

Giovan's frustration didn't escape Snake's attention.
"Mh, I see. Want me to try?"

"Go for it. Won't get you anywhere."

ooc: Janie HATES me right now

"Oh ... We'll see. I'm good at it."

Snake smiled confidently, for the moment ignoring the fact that Phoenix kept spoiling his statistics.

ooc: Sorry Janie! Julian isn't really happy either.

"Heh. I believe you, but don't think it'll work on her." Giovan smirked because he knew he was right.

ooc: They'll get to hang out together later, they should be happy!

"I've got some experience with people who are hard to kill. We'll see."

He was sure that it wouldn't be easy, but for now, he took it as a challenge.

ooc: Julian asks if they couldn't do that without being bothered before?

"Tell you what. How about we bet on it?"

"A bet, huh. Why not? What are the stakes?"

ooc: Oh yes! Hhrhr.

"Up to you. How confident are you that you can kill her?"

ooc: That could be why they're upset. hmm.

"Very confident", he answered without hesitating. "I can't offer much money in case you should win, but I can offer one job done for free. How about that?"
